Full-time Psychiatrist Job Opportunity at Michigan State University Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). Fun and exciting opportunity to provide direct service to college students and their spouses as part of a multidisciplinary care team comprised of psychologists, social workers, care managers, psychiatric nursing staff and primary care providers. Seeking candidates with experience working with college-age students and a multicultural international population; and experience in outpatient psychiatry including psychopharmacology, crisis intervention and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and psychotic disorders.

MSU is a land-grant institution with more than 50,000 students. MSU CAPS is part of a multispecialty practice in conjunction with primary care, women's health, sports medicine, health promotion, physical therapy, laboratory and radiology services as well as an on-site pharmacy. MSU CAPS engages with Student Health Services to provide integrated behavioral health care.

Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8 AM-6 PM, with no after-hours or weekend call.
